What are some causes of fatigue?

There are many possible causes of fatigue as a major complaint. They range from those that cause lack of blood supply to body tissues, diseases that affect metabolism, infections and inflammatory diseases and conditions that cause sleep disorders. Fatigue is a common side effect of many medications. Although many patients with psychological disorders often complain of fatigue (physical and mental), a group of patients in whom the cause of fatigue is not diagnosed.

Common causes include fatigue (this list is not exhaustive):

* Anemia
* Mononucleosis
drugs *
* Sleep problems (sleep apnea, etc)
* Cancer
* Thyroid problems,
* Heart disease,
* Arthritis
* COPD
* Liver disease
